Narrative:

In visual conditions, approach control cleared us for the ILS runway 27 from about 20 mi out. We were level at 4000 ft at the time. At 15 mi out, approach asked us if we knew about the mandatory crossing altitude at dento (3000 ft) and festa (2000 ft) and we replied 'what?' we were not aware of the mandatory crossing restr on the approach. We were able to make the crossing at festa, but we were still at 4000 ft at dento. The best way I can see to not have this happen again is to highlight or bold, or have a note that highlights the mandatory crossing restrs. I know we will start doing a better briefing on the charts now also.

Title: AN ACR FO ADMITTED THAT HE AND HIS CAPT HAD NOT REVIEWED THE APCH PLATE ADEQUATELY, CAUSING THEM TO MISS A XING RESTR.

Narrative: IN VISUAL CONDITIONS, APCH CTL CLRED US FOR THE ILS RWY 27 FROM ABOUT 20 MI OUT. WE WERE LEVEL AT 4000 FT AT THE TIME. AT 15 MI OUT, APCH ASKED US IF WE KNEW ABOUT THE MANDATORY XING ALT AT DENTO (3000 FT) AND FESTA (2000 FT) AND WE REPLIED 'WHAT?' WE WERE NOT AWARE OF THE MANDATORY XING RESTR ON THE APCH. WE WERE ABLE TO MAKE THE XING AT FESTA, BUT WE WERE STILL AT 4000 FT AT DENTO. THE BEST WAY I CAN SEE TO NOT HAVE THIS HAPPEN AGAIN IS TO HIGHLIGHT OR BOLD, OR HAVE A NOTE THAT HIGHLIGHTS THE MANDATORY XING RESTRS. I KNOW WE WILL START DOING A BETTER BRIEFING ON THE CHARTS NOW ALSO.
