Narrative:

Bfl-bakersfield, ca. After receiving ATIS, I radioed ground for taxi instructions and was instructed to taxi to runway 30R. After run up at runway 30R, I contacted tower for takeoff instructions. I was #2 behind a king air. After the king air departed on runway 30R, I understood the controller to say aircraft X, runway 30R cleared for takeoff. I proceeded onto runway 30R, I replied 'aircraft X' rolling. After I had lined up on center line runway 30R, I throttled up and was rolling at 60 KTS, my lift off speed, I noticed an airplane rolling onto the runway in front of me mid field. Not feeling I had enough room to abort. I lifted off and after reaching a safe altitude, I moved to my right along the side of the runway to keep the other airplane in sight and proceeded to climb on course at 300 degrees. After a short time, I contacted tower and was instructed to call the tower via the telephone from my destination point. After talking with my passenger and the pilot in the aircraft flying with me to mer, they concurred that they also understood the controller to say cleared for takeoff on runway 30R. The tower was very busy with several aircraft lined up for departure at runway 30R. There was extensive radio communications at the time. This incursion would have been avoided had the controller not allowed a mid-field takeoff at that time.

Title: A C-172 PLT ON LIFT OFF NORMALLY AVOIDS A BE36 WHO WAS ALSO ON RWY 30R FOR TKOF FROM MID-FIELD AT BFL, CA.

Narrative: BFL-BAKERSFIELD, CA. AFTER RECEIVING ATIS, I RADIOED GND FOR TAXI INSTRUCTIONS AND WAS INSTRUCTED TO TAXI TO RWY 30R. AFTER RUN UP AT RWY 30R, I CONTACTED TWR FOR TKOF INSTRUCTIONS. I WAS #2 BEHIND A KING AIR. AFTER THE KING AIR DEPARTED ON RWY 30R, I UNDERSTOOD THE CTLR TO SAY ACFT X, RWY 30R CLRED FOR TKOF. I PROCEEDED ONTO RWY 30R, I REPLIED 'ACFT X' ROLLING. AFTER I HAD LINED UP ON CENTER LINE RWY 30R, I THROTTLED UP AND WAS ROLLING AT 60 KTS, MY LIFT OFF SPEED, I NOTICED AN AIRPLANE ROLLING ONTO THE RWY IN FRONT OF ME MID FIELD. NOT FEELING I HAD ENOUGH ROOM TO ABORT. I LIFTED OFF AND AFTER REACHING A SAFE ALTITUDE, I MOVED TO MY RIGHT ALONG THE SIDE OF THE RWY TO KEEP THE OTHER AIRPLANE IN SIGHT AND PROCEEDED TO CLB ON COURSE AT 300 DEGS. AFTER A SHORT TIME, I CONTACTED TWR AND WAS INSTRUCTED TO CALL THE TWR VIA THE TELEPHONE FROM MY DESTINATION POINT. AFTER TALKING WITH MY PAX AND THE PLT IN THE ACFT FLYING WITH ME TO MER, THEY CONCURRED THAT THEY ALSO UNDERSTOOD THE CTLR TO SAY CLRED FOR TKOF ON RWY 30R. THE TWR WAS VERY BUSY WITH SEVERAL ACFT LINED UP FOR DEP AT RWY 30R. THERE WAS EXTENSIVE RADIO COMS AT THE TIME. THIS INCURSION WOULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED HAD THE CTLR NOT ALLOWED A MID-FIELD TKOF AT THAT TIME.
