Narrative:
On vectors for visual approach to runway 17 at mht, traffic called by approach. He appeared to be turning final. We were cleared for approach. I dispatched autoplt and started an immediate right turn to final. I lost sight of traffic in turn, captain kept him in sight. Captain said he was heading toward us and took control to avoid a conflict. We had to descend and increase bank angle. Traffic apparently saw us and took evasive action as well. I re-took control of aircraft on final and landed uneventfully. Supplemental information from acn 511908: while on a 10 DME arc at 2000 ft flight checking the con ILS, on west side, made right turn to rejoin arc to go eastbound. While in turn, observed air carrier X jet in a descending right turn to the south to land at mht. Made left turn (climbing) to avoid conflict.

Title: AN FAA BE30 AND AN MD88 PERFORM EVASIVE ACTIONS TO AVOID EACH OTHER 10 NM NW OF MHT, NH.
Narrative: ON VECTORS FOR VISUAL APCH TO RWY 17 AT MHT, TFC CALLED BY APCH. HE APPEARED TO BE TURNING FINAL. WE WERE CLRED FOR APCH. I DISPATCHED AUTOPLT AND STARTED AN IMMEDIATE R TURN TO FINAL. I LOST SIGHT OF TFC IN TURN, CAPT KEPT HIM IN SIGHT. CAPT SAID HE WAS HDG TOWARD US AND TOOK CTL TO AVOID A CONFLICT. WE HAD TO DSND AND INCREASE BANK ANGLE. TFC APPARENTLY SAW US AND TOOK EVASIVE ACTION AS WELL. I RE-TOOK CTL OF ACFT ON FINAL AND LANDED UNEVENTFULLY. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 511908: WHILE ON A 10 DME ARC AT 2000 FT FLT CHKING THE CON ILS, ON W SIDE, MADE R TURN TO REJOIN ARC TO GO EBOUND. WHILE IN TURN, OBSERVED ACR X JET IN A DSNDING R TURN TO THE S TO LAND AT MHT. MADE L TURN (CLBING) TO AVOID CONFLICT.
