Narrative:

While on a visual approach to runway 23 (ILS back-up) at crw approximately 4-5 mi out with gear down, 30 degrees flaps and slowing to final approach speed and to set flaps at 45 degrees, 'right-hand engine low oil pressure' light (with 3 chimes) illuminated. Captain called for missed approach, which I executed. Both thrust levers advanced and aircraft yawed right. N2 was going to zero on right engine, indicating right engine shutdown/failure. I maintained control of aircraft within 10-12 mi of crw while captain completed the QRH and notified company. No engine relight was attempted and an uneventful southeast landing to crw on runway 23 was completed. Tower verified no visual damage to aircraft upon landing. We taxied to the gate for a normal deplaning and shutdown.
