Narrative:

The previous crew said the aircraft had 1 minor MEL. The release reflected the MEL, which was written up the previous day. Aircraft logbook looked complete with the normal signoff. En route, I noticed that the MEL was not completed and that a maintenance action had not been done. We called maintenance on arrival at destination and the full/correct maintenance procedure was completed.

Title: A DHC-8 CAPT DID NOT VERIFY THAT A MAINT DISCREPANCY HAD BEEN ENTERED PROPERLY INTO THE ACFT LOGBOOK AND THAT THE MAINT HAD BEEN COMPLETED.

Narrative: THE PREVIOUS CREW SAID THE ACFT HAD 1 MINOR MEL. THE RELEASE REFLECTED THE MEL, WHICH WAS WRITTEN UP THE PREVIOUS DAY. ACFT LOGBOOK LOOKED COMPLETE WITH THE NORMAL SIGNOFF. ENRTE, I NOTICED THAT THE MEL WAS NOT COMPLETED AND THAT A MAINT ACTION HAD NOT BEEN DONE. WE CALLED MAINT ON ARR AT DEST AND THE FULL/CORRECT MAINT PROC WAS COMPLETED.
