Narrative:

After takeoff out of den, the flight attendants notified the captain there was smoke in the cabin. He opened the door and observed a light amount of smoke. We leveled off and advised ATC we wanted to return to den. Completed smoke in cabin checklist and returned to den for a normal landing. During climb out, the captain observed a high egt on the left engine and, as power was reduced, all parameters showed normal. An emergency was not declared, however, ATC had crash fire rescue equipment trucks dispatched.
