Narrative:

We were not given permission to cross taxiway W5 out of our ramp area. We had checked in with ground, but told to stand by from the controller. I followed a dornier aircraft in front when ground had pointed that out.

Narrative: WE WERE NOT GIVEN PERMISSION TO CROSS TXWY W5 OUT OF OUR RAMP AREA. WE HAD CHKED IN WITH GND, BUT TOLD TO STAND BY FROM THE CTLR. I FOLLOWED A DORNIER ACFT IN FRONT WHEN GND HAD POINTED THAT OUT.
