Narrative:

After entering all my trips into a logbook and adding up my monthly totals, I noticed a discrepancy in my block hours in my logbook. So, I began to compare my logbook trips against each trip on my board. Eventually, I found that the open time turn on the first day of the month now showed me deadheading 3 legs instead of just for one. I immediately called scheduling to let them know the hours were incorrect and now I was over the 100-hour restr. After adding back the previously listed deadheading legs, I exceeded the limit by 2 hours. Although there were no intentional deviations, it was my responsibility to keep us up with the total hours. I made the assumption that the company totals were correct and made several trip pick-ups based on these assumptions and that was a mistake. Even though my hours on my board 'seemed' correct, I should have been able to determine my exact hours and seen the mistake earlier. This mistake could have been easily avoided. Now, my logbook will reflect a running monthly total. I highly recommend pilots not assume board totals are accurate and to follow up trips recently flown to ensure proper credit is given to each category.

Title: PLT INADVERTENTLY EXCEEDS FLT HR MAX FOR THE MONTH.

Narrative: AFTER ENTERING ALL MY TRIPS INTO A LOGBOOK AND ADDING UP MY MONTHLY TOTALS, I NOTICED A DISCREPANCY IN MY BLOCK HRS IN MY LOGBOOK. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED SCHEDULING TO LET THEM KNOW THE HRS WERE INCORRECT AND NOW I WAS OVER THE 100-HR RESTR. AFTER ADDING BACK THE PREVIOUSLY LISTED DEADHEADING LEGS, I EXCEEDED THE LIMIT BY 2 HRS. ALTHOUGH THERE WERE NO INTENTIONAL DEVS, IT WAS MY RESPONSIBILITY TO KEEP US UP WITH THE TOTAL HRS. I MADE THE ASSUMPTION THAT THE COMPANY TOTALS WERE CORRECT AND MADE SEVERAL TRIP PICK-UPS BASED ON THESE ASSUMPTIONS AND THAT WAS A MISTAKE. EVEN THOUGH MY HRS ON MY BOARD 'SEEMED' CORRECT, I SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DETERMINE MY EXACT HRS AND SEEN THE MISTAKE EARLIER. THIS MISTAKE COULD HAVE BEEN EASILY AVOIDED. NOW, MY LOGBOOK WILL REFLECT A RUNNING MONTHLY TOTAL. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND PLTS NOT ASSUME BOARD TOTALS ARE ACCURATE AND TO FOLLOW UP TRIPS RECENTLY FLOWN TO ENSURE PROPER CREDIT IS GIVEN TO EACH CATEGORY.
