Narrative:

Maintenance data indicated the FMC navigation data base may have been out of date. The captain and I believe we had ascertained that the data base was up to date. We proceeded with the mission. We diligently double checked all navigation data with VOR/DME raw data and completed the sequence uneventfully. Human factor involved: confusion between the navigation data base number and the effective date listed.
