Narrative:

Climbed through assigned altitude of 5000 ft on departure. Flight had an aircraft change, last min, then there were some minor problems on taxi out. We did a lax xchk of fmp altitude panel. I recall setting 5000 ft in the original aircraft, but not in the second. When departure questioned our altitude (10000 ft was the altitude set which is the default EFIS setting).

Title: AN FK100 FLC OVERSHOOTS THEIR ASSIGNED ALT WHEN THEY FORGOT TO PROGRAM THE ALT SELECT TO 5000 FT 5 MI FROM PIT, PA.

Narrative: CLBED THROUGH ASSIGNED ALT OF 5000 FT ON DEP. FLT HAD AN ACFT CHANGE, LAST MIN, THEN THERE WERE SOME MINOR PROBS ON TAXI OUT. WE DID A LAX XCHK OF FMP ALT PANEL. I RECALL SETTING 5000 FT IN THE ORIGINAL ACFT, BUT NOT IN THE SECOND. WHEN DEP QUESTIONED OUR ALT (10000 FT WAS THE ALT SET WHICH IS THE DEFAULT EFIS SETTING).
