Narrative:

ATC directed flight (clt-lga) from cleared route to a heading of 330 degrees for spacing into lga. An additional heading was next assigned of 070 degrees, final heading of 360 degrees was assigned as aircraft was entering a restr area. ATC advised us to call supervisor at ZDC upon arriving at lga. Did so, and was told that things had straightened out at the center. Advised that with the turn to 070 degrees we had a tailwind of 135 KTS pushing us to the east at 9 1/2 mi a min. This could have contributed to the problem of entering the airspace.
