Narrative:

On dec/tue/00, I removed and replaced the #2 engine oil cap after servicing in accordance with job card paperwork. On feb/wed/01, I was informed that, upon takeoff at ZZZ on dec/wed/00, the r-hand engine lost all oil. ZZZ maintenance reported oil cap missing. They replaced oil cap, svced oil tank, inspected chip detectors, performed pwrplant inspection in accordance with maintenance manual operations normal (log page attached). The float valve in the oil tank failed to close due to oil cap missing or incorrectly installed (reference maintenance manual 79-11-00-0 2(4) attached). The float valve was not checked or documented in ZZZ. To this date, the engine still remains on aircraft. The incident is under investigation.
