Narrative:
On feb/xa/01, aircraft xyz had a write-up on the captain's mcdu as being unusable. I checked the write-up, but neglected to notice that the subpart reference letter pertained to the MD88. I was notified of this on feb/xd/01 by my MD80 program manager. I flew this aircraft from ZZZ, XXX, ZZZ.
