Narrative:

After takeoff from toronto (yyz) the gear was raised and put in the 'off' position. Indication was red left gear and green left gear lights. We used the QRH to accomplish the proper checklist and continued on to phl. About 2-3 mins later we got an engine #1 hydraulic low pressure light and observed system 'a' fluid quantity was at 1/8 full. Again, we did the checklist in the QRH and continued on to phl. No further problems.
