Narrative:

I departed runway 22R simultaneous with a departure on runway 22L. At 400 ft AGL, I called for 'heading' to turn to 140 degrees as prescribed. First officer said 'aircraft Y is turning also' (or similar words). I looked up as I heard this and was starting to turn left and saw the traffic. As I looked up, tower called to us 'turn right heading 235 degrees.' I do not believe the other aircraft was on our frequency (neither does the first officer) as we never heard any traffic on the radio with them. First officer had seen the other aircraft when looking xcockpit on takeoff. 1) clearing still applies. 2) first officer sure earned his keep. 3) this can't be the first time this has happened. Doesn't tower have some specific procedure?

Title: AN A320 CREW OBSERVED CONFLICT TFC AT 400 FT WHILE FLYING SID.

Narrative: I DEPARTED RWY 22R SIMULTANEOUS WITH A DEP ON RWY 22L. AT 400 FT AGL, I CALLED FOR 'HDG' TO TURN TO 140 DEGS AS PRESCRIBED. FO SAID 'ACFT Y IS TURNING ALSO' (OR SIMILAR WORDS). I LOOKED UP AS I HEARD THIS AND WAS STARTING TO TURN L AND SAW THE TFC. AS I LOOKED UP, TWR CALLED TO US 'TURN R HDG 235 DEGS.' I DO NOT BELIEVE THE OTHER ACFT WAS ON OUR FREQ (NEITHER DOES THE FO) AS WE NEVER HEARD ANY TFC ON THE RADIO WITH THEM. FO HAD SEEN THE OTHER ACFT WHEN LOOKING XCOCKPIT ON TKOF. 1) CLRING STILL APPLIES. 2) FO SURE EARNED HIS KEEP. 3) THIS CAN'T BE THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. DOESN'T TWR HAVE SOME SPECIFIC PROC?
