Narrative:
Just before departure, the tug broke and we were asked to power back. The authority/authorized to push/power back was not listed on station charts. I asked and was assured by acting station manager that the procedure is authority/authorized at the gate. Since the gate is a new gate, it was not listed in the fom.

Title: MD80 CREW WAS ASKED BY THE STATION MGR TO PWR BACK FROM GATE THAT WAS NOT LISTED IN THE COMPANY FOM.
Narrative: JUST BEFORE DEP, THE TUG BROKE AND WE WERE ASKED TO PWR BACK. THE AUTH TO PUSH/PWR BACK WAS NOT LISTED ON STATION CHARTS. I ASKED AND WAS ASSURED BY ACTING STATION MGR THAT THE PROC IS AUTH AT THE GATE. SINCE THE GATE IS A NEW GATE, IT WAS NOT LISTED IN THE FOM.
