Narrative:

While taxiing to runway 30 at sat, our aircraft (aircraft X) was behind air carrier Y. We contacted tower and they told us to taxi around the air carrier jet. We were cleared for an immediate takeoff on runway 30, traffic was on a 5 mi final for runway 30. After taxiing around the air carrier jet, we should have made a right turn to be on runway 30. Instead, I turned left and aligned on runway 3. I asked the PNF (copilot) for a line-up check and he said 'go, go, go, everything is good.' because of the hurry, I failed to check the compass heading. After I initiated the takeoff roll, tower called and asked if we were requesting runway 3. The copilot said no, so the tower said we were on the wrong runway. I aborted the takeoff roll and requested to taxi to runway 30. We taxied to runway 30 and departed without further incident.

Narrative: WHILE TAXIING TO RWY 30 AT SAT, OUR ACFT (ACFT X) WAS BEHIND ACR Y. WE CONTACTED TWR AND THEY TOLD US TO TAXI AROUND THE ACR JET. WE WERE CLRED FOR AN IMMEDIATE TKOF ON RWY 30, TFC WAS ON A 5 MI FINAL FOR RWY 30. AFTER TAXIING AROUND THE ACR JET, WE SHOULD HAVE MADE A R TURN TO BE ON RWY 30. INSTEAD, I TURNED L AND ALIGNED ON RWY 3. I ASKED THE PNF (COPLT) FOR A LINE-UP CHK AND HE SAID 'GO, GO, GO, EVERYTHING IS GOOD.' BECAUSE OF THE HURRY, I FAILED TO CHK THE COMPASS HDG. AFTER I INITIATED THE TKOF ROLL, TWR CALLED AND ASKED IF WE WERE REQUESTING RWY 3. THE COPLT SAID NO, SO THE TWR SAID WE WERE ON THE WRONG RWY. I ABORTED THE TKOF ROLL AND REQUESTED TO TAXI TO RWY 30. WE TAXIED TO RWY 30 AND DEPARTED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.
