Narrative:
Aircraft #2 was cleared via NAVAID radial to intercept airway south of course. Descending aircraft #1 on course to parallel aircraft #2 to accommodate descent. Aircraft #1 was given descent clearance from FL370 to FL310. Aircraft #2 was observed not on radial vector and converging with aircraft #1. Aircraft #2 was turned 30 degrees left of course to maintain separation. Aircraft #1 was mistakenly turned 30 degrees left in error -- should have been 30 degrees right to maintain separation.

Title: ARTCC CTLR MISTAKENLY TURNED 1 OF 2 DSNDING ACFT THE WRONG WAY FOR SEPARATION RESULTING IN LOSS OF LEGAL SEPARATION.
Narrative: ACFT #2 WAS CLRED VIA NAVAID RADIAL TO INTERCEPT AIRWAY S OF COURSE. DSNDING ACFT #1 ON COURSE TO PARALLEL ACFT #2 TO ACCOMMODATE DSCNT. ACFT #1 WAS GIVEN DSCNT CLRNC FROM FL370 TO FL310. ACFT #2 WAS OBSERVED NOT ON RADIAL VECTOR AND CONVERGING WITH ACFT #1. ACFT #2 WAS TURNED 30 DEGS L OF COURSE TO MAINTAIN SEPARATION. ACFT #1 WAS MISTAKENLY TURNED 30 DEGS L IN ERROR -- SHOULD HAVE BEEN 30 DEGS R TO MAINTAIN SEPARATION.
