Narrative:

On departure from clt on jan/xa/01, flight abcd, the first officer's pitch trim failed to respond to nose down pitch commands. The captain then attempted nose down commands from his yoke with no response. The appropriate checklists were called for. After using the back-up pitch trim control, the captain's and first officer's trim controls returned to normal function. The remainder of the flight was uneventful. The uncommanded pitch trim in-flight was written up in the aircraft logbook upon arrival at mgm.
