Narrative:

Approaching V1, smelled the odor of burning rubber. Raised the gear on takeoff and odor became intense. Cabin crew called the front about it. In talking about it among crew, we realized then that the door commenced prior to gear retraction, which is not normal. Called departure to ask to have the runway checked for signs of tread separation. No FOD was found. Asked company to have equipment standing by in slc. Flight attendant had reported unusual noise on takeoff. Landing and rollout normal. No problems noted on inspection.
