Narrative:

About 10 mins after takeoff, the #1 flight attendant came to the cockpit to advise we had a stowaway passenger aboard. The 14 yr old girl had sneaked on at den during boarding, evidently hiding in the aft lavatory during taxi/takeoff. The problem arose, as the flight was full. There were no deadheading or non revenue crew members aboard, nor small children that could be lap held. The stowaway was kept on flight attendant jump seat during the flight to dfw. For landing, we elected to put a male, well traveled frequent flyer passenger on the jump seat with the flight attendant, and put the stowaway in his passenger seat. Auths met the aircraft at the gate in dfw and took the stowaway into custody. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated that he was the captain on this flight. He doesn't know if the flight attendants had actually looked in the lavatories before takeoff, but all the doors were unlocked, so they assumed that no one was in them. The girl was a runaway from her father, whom she claimed was beating her. She got on this flight, because after dallas it continued onto charlotte, nc, where her mother lived. When she came out of the lavatories, the shocked flight attendants, sitting on the back jump seat, asked where she was sitting. She replied, vaguely, somewhere up front. When they asked for her boarding pass, she said that she had an electronic ticket, but the flight attendants said that she still needed a stub or boarding pass. She started crying and told them about her life with her father. It was both the captain's and purser's decision to put the frequent flyer on the front jump seat. Police and social workers escorted the girl off the flight.

Title: PLT RPT, S80, DEN-DFW. 14 YR OLD STOWAWAY GIRL HID IN LAVATORY FOR TKOF. FULL FLT, NO SEATS, PUT STOWAWAY IN CABIN ATTENDANT JUMP SEAT, LANDED WITH FREQUENT FLYER IN CABIN ATTENDANT JUMP SEAT.

Narrative: ABOUT 10 MINS AFTER TKOF, THE #1 FLT ATTENDANT CAME TO THE COCKPIT TO ADVISE WE HAD A STOWAWAY PAX ABOARD. THE 14 YR OLD GIRL HAD SNEAKED ON AT DEN DURING BOARDING, EVIDENTLY HIDING IN THE AFT LAVATORY DURING TAXI/TKOF. THE PROB AROSE, AS THE FLT WAS FULL. THERE WERE NO DEADHEADING OR NON REVENUE CREW MEMBERS ABOARD, NOR SMALL CHILDREN THAT COULD BE LAP HELD. THE STOWAWAY WAS KEPT ON FLT ATTENDANT JUMP SEAT DURING THE FLT TO DFW. FOR LNDG, WE ELECTED TO PUT A MALE, WELL TRAVELED FREQUENT FLYER PAX ON THE JUMP SEAT WITH THE FLT ATTENDANT, AND PUT THE STOWAWAY IN HIS PAX SEAT. AUTHS MET THE ACFT AT THE GATE IN DFW AND TOOK THE STOWAWAY INTO CUSTODY. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THAT HE WAS THE CAPT ON THIS FLT. HE DOESN'T KNOW IF THE FLT ATTENDANTS HAD ACTUALLY LOOKED IN THE LAVATORIES BEFORE TKOF, BUT ALL THE DOORS WERE UNLOCKED, SO THEY ASSUMED THAT NO ONE WAS IN THEM. THE GIRL WAS A RUNAWAY FROM HER FATHER, WHOM SHE CLAIMED WAS BEATING HER. SHE GOT ON THIS FLT, BECAUSE AFTER DALLAS IT CONTINUED ONTO CHARLOTTE, NC, WHERE HER MOTHER LIVED. WHEN SHE CAME OUT OF THE LAVATORIES, THE SHOCKED FLT ATTENDANTS, SITTING ON THE BACK JUMP SEAT, ASKED WHERE SHE WAS SITTING. SHE REPLIED, VAGUELY, SOMEWHERE UP FRONT. WHEN THEY ASKED FOR HER BOARDING PASS, SHE SAID THAT SHE HAD AN ELECTRONIC TICKET, BUT THE FLT ATTENDANTS SAID THAT SHE STILL NEEDED A STUB OR BOARDING PASS. SHE STARTED CRYING AND TOLD THEM ABOUT HER LIFE WITH HER FATHER. IT WAS BOTH THE CAPT'S AND PURSER'S DECISION TO PUT THE FREQUENT FLYER ON THE FRONT JUMP SEAT. POLICE AND SOCIAL WORKERS ESCORTED THE GIRL OFF THE FLT.
