Narrative:

The morning of dec/xa/00, I finished the installation of an air/oil cooler valve on aircraft xyz #1 engine. This job is extremely difficult, due to the time involved and the location of the component. After removal, the air oil cooler and valve must be separated and then put back together with the replacement valve. Then it has to be reinstalled in its tight fitting area (PW4460 engine). It's about a 6-8 hour job. With temperatures in ZZZ below 30 degrees and working late nights doesn't make it any easier. The next night before going to work, I remembered that I had loosened a generator feeder cable clamp to help in the installation. The cable was not reinstalled. This was the only item I had forgot to do. I went to work and called the maintenance coordination center. The aircraft was in XXX and the coordinator called to have them reinstall the cable to the clamp. I made a call a few hours later and he said he had contacted them. The only thing that can make this job a little easier would be if the new valve and cooler could come reassembled from the shop.
