Narrative:

Upon landing on runway 5, the ground controller told me to monitor his frequency. As I was taxiing to the ramp, I unintentionally crossed runway 32 without permission. At the time, it was my understanding that I was also told to taxi to the ramp. The controller said he did not tell me that. Additionally, I was relying too much upon the controller to keep me out of trouble. In the future, I will be much more aware of the intersecting runways by studying the airport layout better prior to landing. It would also have been helpful if the controller had told me to 'hold short' of the runway I had to cross to reach the ramp.
