Narrative:

First class couple with a dog out of the carrier attempted to board and walked 1/3 through jetbridge before being called back into vestibule of jetbridge door to place the dog into a carrier before boarding aircraft. The couple was told the dog had to remain in the carrier for duration of trip. Both made facial expressions as if this request was an inconvenience and had an attitude about being called back. The purser's report will explain the difficulty with this couple to maintain the dog in the carrier and the subsequent assault of the husband grabbing the purser by the arm in-flight. I was not a witness to that assault. I was witness to the wife's sarcasm towards the purser, as I stood waiting for the first class lavatory. Her tone towards the purser, requesting the purser's name, was intimidating as if to complain to the company about the purser. 'I'll need your name...' callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter and an agent were taking tickets in the terminal. The agent pulled this couple's ticket, and as the couple were walking down the jetbridge, another agent walked up to them and saw the dog. The reporter immediately left his ticket taking position, and ran after the couple, telling them to put the dog in the carrier for the rest of the flight. The reporter said that when the purser was talking to the wife, who was sitting across the aisle from the husband, the man walked out of the lavatory and violently grabbed the purser's arm, twisting her around, and said 'I've had enough of you.' the purser sustained bruises on her arm from the encounter. The purser had the captain call for police to meet the flight. The police did arrest the couple, after the purser and captain stayed and pressed charges. He believes that the couple were later released on their own recognizance.

Title: COUPLE WOULD NOT LEAVE DOG IN CARRIER, COUPLE VERBALLY, PHYSICALLY ABUSED PURSER. POLICE ARRESTED COUPLE.

Narrative: FIRST CLASS COUPLE WITH A DOG OUT OF THE CARRIER ATTEMPTED TO BOARD AND WALKED 1/3 THROUGH JETBRIDGE BEFORE BEING CALLED BACK INTO VESTIBULE OF JETBRIDGE DOOR TO PLACE THE DOG INTO A CARRIER BEFORE BOARDING ACFT. THE COUPLE WAS TOLD THE DOG HAD TO REMAIN IN THE CARRIER FOR DURATION OF TRIP. BOTH MADE FACIAL EXPRESSIONS AS IF THIS REQUEST WAS AN INCONVENIENCE AND HAD AN ATTITUDE ABOUT BEING CALLED BACK. THE PURSER'S RPT WILL EXPLAIN THE DIFFICULTY WITH THIS COUPLE TO MAINTAIN THE DOG IN THE CARRIER AND THE SUBSEQUENT ASSAULT OF THE HUSBAND GRABBING THE PURSER BY THE ARM INFLT. 'I'LL NEED YOUR NAME...' CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR AND AN AGENT WERE TAKING TICKETS IN THE TERMINAL. THE AGENT PULLED THIS COUPLE'S TICKET, AND AS THE COUPLE WERE WALKING DOWN THE JETBRIDGE, ANOTHER AGENT WALKED UP TO THEM AND SAW THE DOG. THE RPTR IMMEDIATELY LEFT HIS TICKET TAKING POS, AND RAN AFTER THE COUPLE, TELLING THEM TO PUT THE DOG IN THE CARRIER FOR THE REST OF THE FLT. THE RPTR SAID THAT WHEN THE PURSER WAS TALKING TO THE WIFE, WHO WAS SITTING ACROSS THE AISLE FROM THE HUSBAND, THE MAN WALKED OUT OF THE LAVATORY AND VIOLENTLY GRABBED THE PURSER'S ARM, TWISTING HER AROUND, AND SAID 'I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF YOU.' THE PURSER SUSTAINED BRUISES ON HER ARM FROM THE ENCOUNTER. THE PURSER HAD THE CAPT CALL FOR POLICE TO MEET THE FLT. THE POLICE DID ARREST THE COUPLE, AFTER THE PURSER AND CAPT STAYED AND PRESSED CHARGES. HE BELIEVES THAT THE COUPLE WERE LATER RELEASED ON THEIR OWN RECOGNIZANCE.
