Narrative:

I have been interviewing for a pilot position(south) with a part 135 operator. Pilot of vny, ca, called and announced that he could take me on a demonstration flight for training purposes. During this time, a passenger was met at an outlying airport and taken to a destination (cmh) of his choice. The training flight evolved into a non training flight -- I was used as a required crew member without having the proper training by the operator as required by far part 61.55. My only way of returning to vny was to stay with the aircraft and perform as sic to the PIC. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter stated that he found out the true purpose of the flight after it was too late to deplane since the captain filed and opened all flight plans and did not allow him to fulfill any of the usual PNF duties during the flight. He further stated that he refused to accept employment with the atx operator due to the misleading and unprofessional procedures in using him on this flight under the pretext that this was a demonstration training flight.

CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATED THAT HE FOUND OUT THE TRUE PURPOSE OF THE FLT AFTER IT WAS TOO LATE TO DEPLANE SINCE THE CAPT FILED AND OPENED ALL FLT PLANS AND DID NOT ALLOW HIM TO FULFILL ANY OF THE USUAL PNF DUTIES DURING THE FLT. HE FURTHER STATED THAT HE REFUSED TO ACCEPT EMPLOYMENT WITH THE ATX OPERATOR DUE TO THE MISLEADING AND UNPROFESSIONAL PROCS IN USING HIM ON THIS FLT UNDER THE PRETEXT THAT THIS WAS A DEMO TRAINING FLT.
