Narrative:

Departed cgf for atl at approximately XA05. We were issued a clearance to climb to 16000 ft, which the first officer read back as 16000 ft. When we were told to contact ZOB, we made our initial call as climbing to 16000 ft. They made a comment that they thought approach gave us 12000 ft, not 16000 ft. When we told ZOB we had read back 16000 ft, they then told us to climb to FL230.
