Narrative:

Flight to dca. While at cruise at FL330 felt and saw cabin pressure rise from 8000 ft to 10000 ft at over 2000 FPM. Performed communication procedures for loss of cabin pressure. Told ZAU of problem and requested descent. ATC told us to turn to 090 degree heading and descend to FL240. By 25000 ft had cabin pressure under control and stopped descent at FL240. Told ATC that further descent nor assistance was required. Coordinated with company dispatch and maintenance to continue to destination. No passenger's masks deployed or were required. Coordinated with ATC to continue to dca. Cleared on course. Company maintenance inspected aircraft at dca.
