Narrative:

After arrival at lax on taxiway C abeam the gate, we turned onto the taxi centerline of gate, and stopped and set the brakes. After waiting about 5 mins, a guideman arrived and turned on the automated parking system, giving us centerline and stop information. We continued until we got the stop signal and stopped on the mark. The gate agent opened the 1L door and said the aircraft had hit the jetway. On the ramp we observed the nosewheel was on the B767-300 stop-line, we were a B767-200. We were stopped on the wrong stop mark.
