Narrative:

While at FL410 cruise using GPS navigation (uncoupled from autoplt) and while assessing a possible navigation #2 interface problem with copilot HSI. Inadvertently flew west of direct routing from lufkin VOR (lfk) to rutland airport (rut). Contributing factor is 040 degree heading with wind shift from 280 degrees at 78 KTS to 255 degrees at 91 KTS.
