Narrative:

I was advised that a passenger was not feeling well and that a doctor was going to be requested from onboard passenger. 2 doctors began to assist the passenger. Oxygen was administered and the emergency medical kit was opened. Air carrier medical was called from an onboard phone next to the passenger. One of the doctors, air carrier medical and the dispatcher talked and assisted the other doctor. I also called dispatch through commercial radio to discuss a possible diversion. At AM38 EST dispatch advised us to proceed to chicago O'hare-ord and land as soon as possible, and to advise ATC that we had a medical emergency. We advised ATC, and they asked the nature of the emergency. We restated that we had been in contact with air carrier medical and that we had 2 doctors onboard and that we had been advised to land as soon as possible. At the time we were at 35000 ft, 50 mi south of ord. Center gave us a vector and descent off airways, immediately. We received excellent assistance from center, approach, and ord tower. Once at the gate emt personnel assisted the passenger and eventually removed him. We logged an overnight landing, changed the emergency medical kit, and svced the oxygen bottles. We received excellent assistance from airline personnel in ord. Supplemental information from acn 487685: 1 flight attendant notified us about a sick passenger with great breathing difficulties.
