Narrative:
On sep/xb/00 I was randomly checking for aircraft write-ups on aircraft we've completed on dock xy. I noticed aircraft xyz had a write-up for smoke in the cabin on sep/xa/00. I had previously installed an aft galley drain mast on aircraft xyz on aug/xa/00. I feel I may have accidentally omitted applying sealant to the fairing on the heater as required by air carrier maintenance manual, which may have resulted in this problem.

Narrative: ON SEP/XB/00 I WAS RANDOMLY CHKING FOR ACFT WRITE-UPS ON ACFT WE'VE COMPLETED ON DOCK XY. I NOTICED ACFT XYZ HAD A WRITE-UP FOR SMOKE IN THE CABIN ON SEP/XA/00. I HAD PREVIOUSLY INSTALLED AN AFT GALLEY DRAIN MAST ON ACFT XYZ ON AUG/XA/00.
