Narrative:

During a routine layover check, improper rigging of the aft evacuate/evacuation slide was overlooked. The manual deployment handle (strap) was not inserted through the manual deployment lanyard release ring. Lack of specific detail in layover paperwork and unfamiliarity of proper tailcone evacuate/evacuation slide rigging by submitter caused this oversight. The situation was discovered during a routine FAA inspection and rectified at that time.
