Narrative:

During takeoff the airspeed indicator was noted to be reading excessively high. I was flying the aircraft, from the back seat, with another qualified pilot in the front seat, for a pleasure flight. I could not see the airspeed indicator, the other pilot noted the problem at about 20 ft AGL, stating the indicated airspeed was about 160 mph. There was not sufficient room on the runway to land and the aircraft was handling normally. I elected to abort the flight, using the active runway 17, also at ZZZ the aircraft had just had a new pitot/static tube installed by ZZZ FBO. Aircraft and engine maintenance, on the field at ZZZ. This was the first flight after that repair. I determined that the airspeed indicator was indicating exactly opposite of what it should and we flew a normal approach and landing, without incident. The aircraft was taken immediately to ZZZ FBO, where it was determined that the pitot and static lines were reversed. The maintenance personnel and business manager did not appear at all concerned about their mistake. There are very limited maintenance options at ZZZ for GA aircraft (flight training clubs in particular). It took less than 5 mins to correct this problem and test the system.

Title: AN AMERICAN CHAMPION ON TKOF ROLL HAD ERRONEOUS AIRSPD INDICATIONS CAUSED BY THE INCORRECT INSTALLATION OF THE LINES TO THE NEW PITOT PROBE.

Narrative: DURING TKOF THE AIRSPD INDICATOR WAS NOTED TO BE READING EXCESSIVELY HIGH. I WAS FLYING THE ACFT, FROM THE BACK SEAT, WITH ANOTHER QUALIFIED PLT IN THE FRONT SEAT, FOR A PLEASURE FLT. I COULD NOT SEE THE AIRSPD INDICATOR, THE OTHER PLT NOTED THE PROB AT ABOUT 20 FT AGL, STATING THE INDICATED AIRSPD WAS ABOUT 160 MPH. THERE WAS NOT SUFFICIENT ROOM ON THE RWY TO LAND AND THE ACFT WAS HANDLING NORMALLY. I ELECTED TO ABORT THE FLT, USING THE ACTIVE RWY 17, ALSO AT ZZZ THE ACFT HAD JUST HAD A NEW PITOT/STATIC TUBE INSTALLED BY ZZZ FBO. ACFT AND ENG MAINT, ON THE FIELD AT ZZZ. THIS WAS THE FIRST FLT AFTER THAT REPAIR. I DETERMINED THAT THE AIRSPD INDICATOR WAS INDICATING EXACTLY OPPOSITE OF WHAT IT SHOULD AND WE FLEW A NORMAL APCH AND LNDG, WITHOUT INCIDENT. THE ACFT WAS TAKEN IMMEDIATELY TO ZZZ FBO, WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE PITOT AND STATIC LINES WERE REVERSED. THE MAINT PERSONNEL AND BUSINESS MGR DID NOT APPEAR AT ALL CONCERNED ABOUT THEIR MISTAKE. THERE ARE VERY LIMITED MAINT OPTIONS AT ZZZ FOR GA ACFT (FLT TRAINING CLUBS IN PARTICULAR). IT TOOK LESS THAN 5 MINS TO CORRECT THIS PROB AND TEST THE SYS.
