Narrative:

At houston hobby we were told to taxi to runway 12L. The captain looked at the airport diagram to see where taxiway Z was, and started to taxi. Upon reaching runway 12L I called the tower and told them we were ready on runway 12L. The tower cleared us for takeoff. The captain taxied across runway 12L and was heading to runway 12R. I told him he crossed our runway, and he stopped the plane before we reached the other runway. Better pilot briefing may have prevented this. Supplemental information from acn 482097: I stopped the aircraft. I may have been actually on runway 17. I held there and tower said hold position. This was a case of not listening closely to the taxi clearance and assuming that I was assigned the long runway.
