During shift change turnover, a rinx 253 I inspected in jun/99 had same serial number as scrap rinx 353. FAA form 8130 stated new.

Title: DURING SVCABLE ENG PARTS INSPECTION THE INSPECTOR DISCOVERED A PART WITH THE SAME SERIAL NUMBER OF A PART REJECTED AND SCRAPPED IN JUNE 1999.
Narrative: DURING SHIFT CHANGE TURNOVER, A RINX 253 I INSPECTED IN JUN/99 HAD SAME SERIAL NUMBER AS SCRAP RINX 353. FAA FORM 8130 STATED NEW.
