Narrative:

Lmp (lower minimum performance) was downgraded to 'not CAT ii' due to r-hand autoplt and thrust management on MEL. On day 10 of the MEL the autoplt was fixed yet the thrust management remained on MEL. To circumvent the 10 day restr of the MEL I was instructed by management to clear the placard and reissue it using new authority/authorized to restart the clock. This is in violation of gpm 16-14B page 2.

Title: A B757-200 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH THE ACFT THRUST MGMNT SYS OUT OF THE 10 DAY LIMIT BUT WITH A NEW DEFERRED ITEM ISSUED EXTENDING THE 10 DAY LIMIT.
