Narrative:

Cleared by approach control for ILS runway 9R -- converging approach in visual conditions, but was never switched over to tower (local) frequency. Copilot was at controls. On short final, I noticed we were still on approach frequency. Quickly looked down at approach chart for tower frequency and switched to 118.5 prior to landing. Announced landing and saw runway was clear. Elected to land as it was clear, feeling it safer than going around into busy traffic overhead. After landing, contacted tower and was switched to ground control. Other tower frequency 135.1 was correct tower frequency for our runway, but 118.5 was first tower frequency I noticed upon realizing was never switched over. Contacted tower supervisor on duty via telephone after flight and he said no problem, no conflict.

Narrative: CLRED BY APCH CTL FOR ILS RWY 9R -- CONVERGING APCH IN VISUAL CONDITIONS, BUT WAS NEVER SWITCHED OVER TO TWR (LCL) FREQ. COPLT WAS AT CTLS. ON SHORT FINAL, I NOTICED WE WERE STILL ON APCH FREQ. QUICKLY LOOKED DOWN AT APCH CHART FOR TWR FREQ AND SWITCHED TO 118.5 PRIOR TO LNDG. ANNOUNCED LNDG AND SAW RWY WAS CLR. ELECTED TO LAND AS IT WAS CLR, FEELING IT SAFER THAN GOING AROUND INTO BUSY TFC OVERHEAD. AFTER LNDG, CONTACTED TWR AND WAS SWITCHED TO GND CTL. OTHER TWR FREQ 135.1 WAS CORRECT TWR FREQ FOR OUR RWY, BUT 118.5 WAS FIRST TWR FREQ I NOTICED UPON REALIZING WAS NEVER SWITCHED OVER. CONTACTED TWR SUPVR ON DUTY VIA TELEPHONE AFTER FLT AND HE SAID NO PROB, NO CONFLICT.
