Narrative:

Climbing to 6000 ft, first officer overshot to 6400 ft and returned to 6000 ft. TCASII was clear. First officer says updraft was a factor. We were near convective activity. No ATC inquiry. I was adjusting radar when first officer climbed past 6000 ft. Supplemental information from acn 480960: during climb out from stl, we were experiencing turbulence as we were being vectored for the departure. There were cumulo nimbus's in the area. I overshot the assigned altitude and corrected as quickly as possible.
