Narrative:

On jul/xa/00, flight was departing tpa to pfn. The captain was flying this leg. The tower cleared us to taxi and position and hold on runway 18R. The tower said traffic Y was on 7 mi final, a cpr Z jet had just departed ahead of us. The captain asked for before takeoff checklist, above and below the line. I read off the checklist and everything was set to go. The captain inadvertently advanced full power and asked for me to set takeoff power. I complied and as we started roll, I was about to ask the captain if we had been cleared for takeoff. Tower then told us we were cleared for takeoff after we had rolled over approximately 1000 ft. We continued takeoff. The tower told us 'next time, wait for takeoff,' after we realized that a major mistake had occurred. I queried the captain 'he said he thought the traffic was on the 2 mi final' instead of 7 mi. After landing in pfn, captain called tpa tower and talked to chief controller, and they said not to worry about it. I think we were in a big hurry to meet schedule, and busy traffic flow in class B airspace. Thankfully nobody was hurt.

Title: TKOF STARTED WITHOUT CLRNC AT TPA.

Narrative: ON JUL/XA/00, FLT WAS DEPARTING TPA TO PFN. THE CAPT WAS FLYING THIS LEG. THE TWR CLRED US TO TAXI AND POS AND HOLD ON RWY 18R. THE TWR SAID TFC Y WAS ON 7 MI FINAL, A CPR Z JET HAD JUST DEPARTED AHEAD OF US. THE CAPT ASKED FOR BEFORE TKOF CHKLIST, ABOVE AND BELOW THE LINE. I READ OFF THE CHKLIST AND EVERYTHING WAS SET TO GO. THE CAPT INADVERTENTLY ADVANCED FULL PWR AND ASKED FOR ME TO SET TKOF PWR. I COMPLIED AND AS WE STARTED ROLL, I WAS ABOUT TO ASK THE CAPT IF WE HAD BEEN CLRED FOR TKOF. TWR THEN TOLD US WE WERE CLRED FOR TKOF AFTER WE HAD ROLLED OVER APPROX 1000 FT. WE CONTINUED TKOF. THE TWR TOLD US 'NEXT TIME, WAIT FOR TKOF,' AFTER WE REALIZED THAT A MAJOR MISTAKE HAD OCCURRED. I QUERIED THE CAPT 'HE SAID HE THOUGHT THE TFC WAS ON THE 2 MI FINAL' INSTEAD OF 7 MI. AFTER LNDG IN PFN, CAPT CALLED TPA TWR AND TALKED TO CHIEF CTLR, AND THEY SAID NOT TO WORRY ABOUT IT. I THINK WE WERE IN A BIG HURRY TO MEET SCHEDULE, AND BUSY TFC FLOW IN CLASS B AIRSPACE. THANKFULLY NOBODY WAS HURT.
