Narrative:

We had the flaps on right wing freeze at 5 degrees accompanied by stall indicator fail light. After troubleshooting and running checklists, problem was not resolved. Right trailing edge flaps stuck at 5 degrees. Also experienced problems with right hydraulic system. Then lost oil pressure on right engine, accompanied by rising oil temperature. Oil quantity normal. We suspected blown right tire damaging flaps and right engine. Diverted to ZZZ and flew single engine approach with leading edge slats but not flaps. Reason for not landing at nearest suitable field but diverting to ZZZ. With the no flap problem I wanted a long runway at low field elevation. I felt ZZZ was the best choice. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the aircraft was checked by maintenance and a circuit breaker behind the captain's seat was found tripped. The reporter said he was unaware if maintenance found a cause for the circuit breaker being tripped.

Title: AN MD80, AFTER TKOF, HAD FLAP INDICATION STUCK AT 3 DEGS, R ENG OIL PRESSURE WENT TO ZERO AND ENG SHUT DOWN. DIVERTED TO ZZZ.

Narrative: WE HAD THE FLAPS ON R WING FREEZE AT 5 DEGS ACCOMPANIED BY STALL INDICATOR FAIL LIGHT. AFTER TROUBLESHOOTING AND RUNNING CHKLISTS, PROB WAS NOT RESOLVED. R TRAILING EDGE FLAPS STUCK AT 5 DEGS. ALSO EXPERIENCED PROBS WITH R HYD SYS. THEN LOST OIL PRESSURE ON R ENG, ACCOMPANIED BY RISING OIL TEMP. OIL QUANTITY NORMAL. WE SUSPECTED BLOWN R TIRE DAMAGING FLAPS AND R ENG. DIVERTED TO ZZZ AND FLEW SINGLE ENG APCH WITH LEADING EDGE SLATS BUT NOT FLAPS. REASON FOR NOT LNDG AT NEAREST SUITABLE FIELD BUT DIVERTING TO ZZZ. WITH THE NO FLAP PROB I WANTED A LONG RWY AT LOW FIELD ELEVATION. I FELT ZZZ WAS THE BEST CHOICE. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THE ACFT WAS CHKED BY MAINT AND A CIRCUIT BREAKER BEHIND THE CAPT'S SEAT WAS FOUND TRIPPED. THE RPTR SAID HE WAS UNAWARE IF MAINT FOUND A CAUSE FOR THE CIRCUIT BREAKER BEING TRIPPED.
