Narrative:

On climb out from dfw, noticed that ground crew had loaded 2 restr articles in the mid cargo compartment. I did not receive any forms for these restricted articles. Called dispatch to find out what was on the aircraft. He sent an ACARS message to the aircraft saying that it is meat. It may or may not have dry ice with it, that's why no paperwork. They believe there are no restr articles, but can't be sure because the original cargo agent had gone home for the day, so at worst they had a small quantity of dry ice. Bottom line: no one was really sure what restr articles were really on the aircraft. I will review the load closeout form on taxi out more closely from now on.
