Narrative:

Just after takeoff we received a lavatory smoke indication on EICAS. Flight attendant ran to back and thought he smelled smoke. We declared an emergency and did the visual to runway 27L. We didn't have time to run any checklists. Landing and rollout were normal and lavatory smoke indication went out while I was on the approach. Captain decided to perform an emergency evacuate/evacuation on the runway just to be safe. 1 passenger claimed injuries due to the evacuate/evacuation. There was no fire and the lavatory smoke alert had been written up previously (however, I don't recall this being made aware to the crew). I believe the cause of the alert was oil or fuel getting into the bleed air system.

Narrative: JUST AFTER TKOF WE RECEIVED A LAVATORY SMOKE INDICATION ON EICAS. FLT ATTENDANT RAN TO BACK AND THOUGHT HE SMELLED SMOKE. WE DECLARED AN EMER AND DID THE VISUAL TO RWY 27L. WE DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO RUN ANY CHKLISTS. LNDG AND ROLLOUT WERE NORMAL AND LAVATORY SMOKE INDICATION WENT OUT WHILE I WAS ON THE APCH. CAPT DECIDED TO PERFORM AN EMER EVAC ON THE RWY JUST TO BE SAFE. 1 PAX CLAIMED INJURIES DUE TO THE EVAC. THERE WAS NO FIRE AND THE LAVATORY SMOKE ALERT HAD BEEN WRITTEN UP PREVIOUSLY (HOWEVER, I DON'T RECALL THIS BEING MADE AWARE TO THE CREW). I BELIEVE THE CAUSE OF THE ALERT WAS OIL OR FUEL GETTING INTO THE BLEED AIR SYS.
