Duval one arrival approaching wever intersection. Rapid left deviation around cell required. Captain flying, first officer requesting deviation, flight engineer engaged in arrival preparation duties. Captain disengaged auxiliary navigation to turn and altitude hold disengaged without crew notice. First officer remarked on altitude was not as assigned. I looked at captain altitude and saw 9650 ft. Captain immediately corrected. No comment made from controller, no aircraft noticed in area. Total deviation from assigned altitude was less than 30 seconds.
