Narrative:

An MD88 main wheel assembly was assembled and the wrong inner wheel bearing was installed. The wheel bearing installed was a B727 main wheel inner wheel bearing instead of an MD88 main inner wheel bearing. Crew reported anti-skid fail. Line maintenance noted 1/2 inch wheel play. Removed wheel assembly and found incorrect wheel bearing. No axle damage found. Brake assembly replaced as precautionary. Aircraft returned to service without further incident.
