Narrative:
During the replacement of bearings and brushes in both starter-generators, the communicator was turned down using an unapprove lathe. This lathe uses ctring cone to align the armature to the lathe. The component maintenance manual call for a tailstock adapter with a bearing. The armature fit inside the bearing to align it with the lathe. This was found by doing paperwork review. The other starter-generators of similar design and of the same manufacture does not require this adapter, only this one -- xyxx power system, mfr P/north wvx-001. The aircraft operator has been notified and is scheduled for overhaul replacement of both starter-generators. The aircraft registration is xyz serial number XXX.

Title: A BEECH 300 WAS OPERATED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH BOTH STARTER-GENERATOR UNITS REWORKED USING IMPROPER TOOLING.
Narrative: DURING THE REPLACEMENT OF BEARINGS AND BRUSHES IN BOTH STARTER-GENERATORS, THE COMMUNICATOR WAS TURNED DOWN USING AN UNAPPROVE LATHE.
