Narrative:
After departing skylark airport, my student requested radar services from bradley tower and requested a transition to simsbury airport. While in the skylark traffic pattern bradley tower advised us that we were in the class C airspace, after he told us to remain clear. Bradley tower then cleared us to the simsbury airport. Concise and clear communications would improve the problem. ATC could have given a heading that he wanted us on.
