Narrative:

At night, during taxi to maintenance ramp, started to turn down blind alleyway (dead end) and stopped. Would not move because of tight space without guide man for safety. Airport personnel guided us away from obstructions. Airports need better marking. Old markings should be removed, not painted over.

Narrative: AT NIGHT, DURING TAXI TO MAINT RAMP, STARTED TO TURN DOWN BLIND ALLEYWAY (DEAD END) AND STOPPED. WOULD NOT MOVE BECAUSE OF TIGHT SPACE WITHOUT GUIDE MAN FOR SAFETY. ARPT PERSONNEL GUIDED US AWAY FROM OBSTRUCTIONS. ARPTS NEED BETTER MARKING. OLD MARKINGS SHOULD BE REMOVED, NOT PAINTED OVER.
