Narrative:

Location: 045 degree radial from hobby VOR. Cleared direct daisetta, then houston. We asked which arrival we would fly and were told we would get that later. A few mins later, approach assigned us a heading to intercept 045 degree radial to houston. About 5 mins later, still on the heading and showing north of course, approach said we were 15 mi south of the 045 degree radial. After several radio calls and further clarification, we discovered we had tuned in hobby VOR 117.6, but should have been on humble 116.6. We thought the original intercept clearance was to the hobby 045 degree radial. That's what caused the confusion and off course deviation.

Title: FLC OF A SUPER MD80 TUNED THEIR VOR TO THE WRONG ONE RESULTING IN BECOMING 15 MI S OF COURSE DURING VECTORS FOR ARR.

Narrative: LOCATION: 045 DEG RADIAL FROM HOBBY VOR. CLRED DIRECT DAISETTA, THEN HOUSTON. WE ASKED WHICH ARR WE WOULD FLY AND WERE TOLD WE WOULD GET THAT LATER. A FEW MINS LATER, APCH ASSIGNED US A HDG TO INTERCEPT 045 DEG RADIAL TO HOUSTON. ABOUT 5 MINS LATER, STILL ON THE HDG AND SHOWING N OF COURSE, APCH SAID WE WERE 15 MI S OF THE 045 DEG RADIAL. AFTER SEVERAL RADIO CALLS AND FURTHER CLARIFICATION, WE DISCOVERED WE HAD TUNED IN HOBBY VOR 117.6, BUT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON HUMBLE 116.6. WE THOUGHT THE ORIGINAL INTERCEPT CLRNC WAS TO THE HOBBY 045 DEG RADIAL. THAT'S WHAT CAUSED THE CONFUSION AND OFF COURSE DEV.
