Narrative:

Logbook handed to captain by maintenance personnel from overnight maintenance release program. I checked date of last VOR navigation check and last few days of maintenance history. I did not check top of first white page for an aircraft release. Flew 1 leg and requested a facsimile for the release out of the maintenance domicile.
