Narrative:

After cancellation of IFR at 25 mi, I reported 15, 10 and 5 mi with position, altitude and intentions. I was approaching from 180 degrees to enter left crosswind for runway 13 at provo. I slowed to 200 KTS out of 10000 ft and started to slow to pattern speed at 5 mi. I could hear at least 7 aircraft in the local area all east of my position at about 4.3 mi and 6000 ft. I saw a piper single coming head-to-head. We both rolled right and passed at about 200 ft belly-to-belly. I heard no radio communication to indicate any traffic coming my way. All I saw of the other aircraft is no visible lights or radio communication after event. Pattern was entered with normal landing.
